Over the past 25 years, Edo-Jan has gained broad experience at several large IT companies, such as KPN, Raet and PinkRoccade. The common thread between them are the business processes and their connection to the information landscape. For the last 10 years Edo-Jan has been active as Lead Auditor at DEKRA in the field of information security, quality, IT service management and continuity management. As a result, Edo-Jan has extensive knowledge of both the business side and the testing and monitoring side.

In recent years, Edo-Jan has focused on compliancy with the underlying standards, such as the ISO and NEN standards, yet always with the organizational dynamics and organizational issues in mind.

In doing so, he knows how to find a good balance between the letter and the spirit of the standards. The various positions Edo-Jan has occupied, such as Consultant, Project Manager and Unit Manager, has given him broad knowledge about different aspects of the corporate world.

It helps that Edo-Jan is a curious and interested person, who absorbs the knowledge he gathers from companies. As a result, Edo-Jan is good at linking theory to experiences from his own work history, as a teacher he uses examples from his own work experience to make the theory “more appealing.

It is important to Edo-Jan that knowledge is shared in a natural way, that there is opportunity for discussion which makes the exchange of knowledge possible within the group. Some banter while learning is also very important at times. People should feel comfortable and leave with the fealing of having experienced a fun and educational training that made them a little wiser in the end.
