Lies is an all-round experienced (20+ years) cyber security professional with an IT background, she has progressed from consulting to management roles, while working the last 10 years in CISO positions for various industries.
Lies knows how to turn cyber complexity into a simple story, and translates this into a pragmatic implementation that is understood at all levels.
A successful CISO for many years, she has passionately advocated the necessary leadership competencies required by a modern, aspiring CISO. She is therefore ideally placed to contribute to the CISO leadership day as part of the post HBO ISME CISO training.
The average time a person remains CISO is only 2 years. Consequently, the CISO role has a poor reputation. This while the shortage of CISO’s is growing. Finding a good match with an organization, and the right role conception are important prerequisites for being successful in this role. It’s important for cyber security in general that this great job improves its reputation, that people stay in this role longer, and that we start to overcome the shortages.
